Air handling unit control for a nursery

Objective: Save energy without damaging indoor air quality

Optimization of ventilation

Maintaining good IAQ

Context

Deployment - Smart offer

Building

  • Crèche
  • 900m2 on a single level
  • North of France
  • 15 pieces

Système de ventilation

  • Double-flow ventilation
  • CAD O Integral EI 45 VLEXG
  • Operating speed adjustable between 0-100% of its capacity

Système de chauffage

  • Gas boiler
  • Atlantic Guillot LRP4 145 kW

Déploiement - offre Smart

1. IAQ Monitoring

Installation of 4 sensors in the nursery enclosure to monitor total CO2, PM and VOC levels in several parts of the nursery.

2. Online ventilation control

The piloting of ventilation is controlled by CO2 and fine particulate concentration limits (PM2.5).

Results

66% reduction in ventilation usage thanks to predictive control.

Expert plan simulation: Predictive HVAC control

Predictive control of heating according to occupancy, external disturbances (weather) and the building’s thermal inertia.
In this way, we limit situations of over-consumption and discomfort.
